Lebanon has warned Iran that if money is found on the plane from Tehran, it will be confiscated.

According to the Lebanese television channel MTV, a thorough inspection of the Iranian airline Mahan Air plane, which arrived from Tehran, is being carried out at Beirut airport.

Earlier, the Saudi TV channel Al-Hadat, citing Western sources, reported that Tehran sent several million dollars by plane to Beirut for Hezbollah.

According to MTV, after this message, Lebanese security services warned “Iranian authorities” that the plane would be searched and, if it turned out that it was carrying money, the cargo would be confiscated in favor of the Lebanese state. In case of preliminary refusal of inspection, the aircraft will be denied boarding.

According to other Lebanese media reports, the runway farthest from the airport was allocated for the Iranian plane, and it was also isolated in such a way as to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing the plane.
