Houthis announce successful strike on Orot Rabin power plant

The representative of the armed forces of the Yemeni terrorist organization Ansar Allah (Houthis), Yahya Sari, announced a successful operation “to strike the Orot Rabin power plant using a Falastin-2 hypersonic missile.”

This was reported by the Houthi-owned Al-Masirah TV channel.

The Houthis claim that Israeli air defenses were unable to intercept the missile outside Israeli airspace, as the IDF claimed. However, no data is provided about the destruction of the Orot Rabin power plant, located near Hadera.

At 00:20 on the night of January 5, the “Tzeva Hell” alarm sounded in Talmei Eliezer, east of Hadera. The IDF reported another interception of a missile launched from Yemen. The report said the missile was intercepted outside Israeli airspace. There were no reports of casualties.

Let us note that this time the alarm was activated only in one populated area – due to the threat of a possible fall of fragments of a rocket or anti-missile missile. Residents of some areas of central, northern and eastern Israel heard distant explosions.

Arab media reported that US and British forces carried out strikes on targets in Yemen shortly after another attempt by the Houthis to fire at Israel. Based on available information, three series of strikes were carried out on targets in the city of Saada in northwestern Yemen, which is controlled by the Houthis.
