In his night speech, the head of state indicated that he received from the commander in chief of the Armed Forces, Oleksandr Sirski that information in a meeting about the situation in Kursk partially occupied by the kyiv forces since last August and borders the northeastern Ukrainian region of Sumi.

“Specifically, in the battles today (Saturday) and yesterday (Friday) near a single village – Majnovka, in the Kursk region – the Russian Army lost up to an infantry battalion, including North Korean soldiers and Russian paratroopers,” He indicated in his message posted on social networks.

A battalion can consist of between 300 and 1,500 soldiers.

Zelensky did not explain how many soldiers of the battalion were killed or wounded.
