Negotiations on a deal with Hamas: the head of Mossad will arrive in Qatar

On January 6, Mossad head David Barnea is expected to arrive in Qatar. The next stage of discussion of a possible deal between Israel and Hamas on a ceasefire in Gaza and a “prisoner exchange” is planned.

In Doha they are again talking about a certain “positive trend” in negotiations on the terms of the deal.

A few days ago, Bassem Naim, a member of the politburo of the terrorist organization Hamas, said at a press conference that he was “seriously and optimistically looking” at a possible agreement with Israel. He noted that “negotiations in Doha will focus on a deal that includes a full ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip and the development of a step-by-step plan for implementing the agreement.” According to Naim, Hamas wants to reach an agreement “as soon as possible.”
