New Year’s miracle: Girl (13) survives train crash

Krakow (Poland) – This is nothing short of a miracle! In Poland, a girl (13) was run over by a regional train. Luckily, the 13-year-old survived the accident without any life-threatening injuries.

The dramatic accident happened on Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. on the railway line from Krakow to Auschwitz near the village of Brzezinka (population 2,300).

The driver of the train applied an emergency brake, but it still rolled over the teenager. Rescue workers arrived and rescued the trapped person. She was immediately taken by rescue helicopter to a clinic in Krakow (Poland) flown.

The good news came from there on Monday: There is no danger to life. The 13-year-old is doing well under the circumstances.

It is unclear whether the girl wanted to cross the tracks in front of the approaching train and fell or whether she did so intentionally police still unclear.
