The head of the Venezuelan Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the arrest of an “Israeli saboteur”

Venezuelan Interior Minister Diosdado Cabello announced that among the 125 foreign saboteurs who have been arrested recently is an Israeli citizen. The detained foreigners are accused of subversion and preparing terrorist attacks.

The Venezuelan authorities believe that the activities of “foreign mercenaries” to destabilize the situation in the country were financed by drug cartels.

In addition to the Israeli, citizens of the United States, Peru, Spain, Italy, Uruguay, Ukraine, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Lebanon, Albania, the Netherlands, Germany, Argentina, Yemen and Guyana were detained in Caracas.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem reported that information about the arrest of an Israeli citizen in Venezuela is being verified.

Venezuela severed diplomatic relations with Israel in 2009.
