Kellogg has postponed his visit to Kiev, he will go to Ukraine after Trump’s inauguration

Keith Kellogg, the US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia in the incoming US administration, has postponed his fact-finding visit to Kyiv.

Reuters, citing four sources close to the newly elected US President Donald Trump, states that Kellogg will visit Kiev, Rome and Paris “after the inauguration ceremony (January 20)” of the newly elected president.

It was reported earlier that Kellogg will visit Kiev in early January to meet with the leadership of Ukraine. Meetings in Rome and Paris were also planned.

The sources of the agency did not specify the reasons for the postponement of the visit to Europe. Kellogg, as well as representatives of the Ukrainian embassy in Washington, declined to comment.

During his election campaign, Trump has repeatedly stated that he can stop the war in Ukraine within 24 hours of taking office.

Reuters emphasizes that Trump, however, has done little to address the issue, while stressing that efforts to quickly end the conflict remain a top priority for the incoming administration.
