Car in Berlin hits traffic lights and hits pedestrian

A car hit two traffic lights at an intersection in Berlin-Tempelhof and then hit a pedestrian. The woman was taken to a special clinic with life-threatening injuries, the fire department said. The cause of the accident was still unclear. There were two people in the car.

Accordingly, the vehicle at the airlift site first crashed into a construction site traffic light on a central island and then into another traffic light. A person in the car also had to be treated by emergency services and taken to a clinic.

Traffic jams throughout the area

After the accident, the intersection at Platz der Luftbrücke and Mehringdamm was closed. The Berlin Traffic Information Center (VIZ) warned on Platform X in the afternoon of long traffic jams in the entire area. The police have started investigating the cause of the accident.
