Actress Dalyce Curry of the ‘Blues Brothers’ dies in the Los Angeles fires

She died in burned down Los Angeles actress Dalyce Curry, known for her role in the 1980 film ‘The Blues Brothers‘. ‘Momma D’, as she was nicknamed, was 95 years old and her remains were found in the Altadena area several days after the destruction of her home in the fires that devastated the Californian metropolis. The news of her death was given by her great-granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, who assisted her as a caregiver and had accompanied her home for the last time on the evening of last Tuesday. Dalyce Curry was part of the Old Black Hollywood of the 1950s and had worked for decades, starring in other hit films such as ‘The 10 Commandments’ and ‘Lady Sings the Blues’.
