Qatari Foreign Ministry: the main differences on the deal between Israel and Hamas have been overcome

Qatar’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying the latest rounds of negotiations on a deal between Israel and Hamas had “overcome major differences.”

The Qatari Foreign Ministry has not published details of the deal or any details about the progress of the negotiations.

The statement said: “We are at the closest point to an agreement in recent months. We have sent draft agreements to both parties and are now entering the discussion of final details.”

At the same time, Doha acknowledges that there are some disagreements, most of which are related to the implementation of the deal, and not to its content.
