“With one stroke of the pen, I will cancel dozens of destructive and sweeping executive orders, I will reverse the actions of the Biden administration. In 24 hours they will no longer matter,” Trump said, speaking on the evening of January 19 at a dinner with donors and influential Republicans.
One of the central points of his program is limiting immigration. According to Trump representatives, the largest deportation of illegal migrants in history is planned. The President intends to repeal the law that grants citizenship to those born in the United States.
In the energy field, the new president intends to withdraw from agreements limiting emissions. There are plans to repeal laws protecting diversity. Trump is expected to sign pardons for those who stormed the Capitol on January 6, 2021.
The powers and structure of the new Department of Government Effectiveness, which will be headed by billionaires Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, will need to be determined. The department is expected to deal with mass layoffs of government employees.
As the BBC notes, Trump will also instruct the military to create a new missile defense system, which he called the Iron Dome. Another project of the future administration is to complete the investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.
