Iranian Vice President Mohammad Javad Zarif, who is at the World Economic Forum in Davos, accused Hamas of disrupting Iran-US nuclear talks.
According to him, negotiations aimed at resuming an agreement on the fate of the Iranian nuclear program were to begin on October 9, 2023. However, a Hamas attack on Israel two days earlier led to their cancellation. “We knew nothing about Hamas’s plans,” he stressed.
The Iranian politician said that during the military campaign that lasted more than a year, Israel failed to destroy Hamas. “It was Israel that had to ask for a truce. So it is premature to rejoice at the destruction of Hamas,” he said, adding that Iran has no satellites because the so-called “proxies” do not act in its interests.
