A request has been filed in Poland for the arrest of the Israeli Minister of Education

Late last week, Israeli Education Minister Yoav Kish arrived in Poland to participate in events marking the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. Earlier, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he would not be able to come.

According to Kan Bet radio, several Palestinians with Polish citizenship, with the support of human rights organizations, contacted the prosecutor’s office in Warsaw demanding the arrest and trial of Kisch as a former IDF pilot and member of the Israeli government who is responsible for war crimes in Gaza.

Similar demands have been filed against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, in respect of whom the Polish government said it would not comply with the court’s decision in The Hague.
