Trump forbade transgender people to serve in the Armed Forces

US President Donald Trump signed on January 27 several decrees aimed at changes in the armed forces. The first of them forbids the transgender people to serve in the army – Trump has already signed such an order in 2017, but he was canceled by Joe Biden.

The second decree eliminates the army programs of diversity, equality and inclusiveness, the third-prescribes to return to the service of those who were dismissed due to the refusal to vaccinate against Covid-19.

The ban on the service of transgender is explained by medical grounds. To restore after surgery to change the floor, a person needs a year to restore under medical supervision, and a soldier will not be able to meet the requirements for soldiers.

According to CNN, as of 2018, 14,000 transgender people served in the US Armed Forces. At the moment, it is unclear whether exceptions will be made for those who are already in the service and those who do not need the operation.
