Trump’s intelligence head met with a senior Hezbollah?

A lot of eyebrows and reviews were stretched following US President Donald Trump’s decision to appoint Tolsi Gabard to the role of National Intelligence. Gabard, whose appointment has not yet been approved, is considered one of the largest controversial appointments in Trump’s new government, and now another big question mark about those who are expected Stand at one of the world’s most important and important security agencies.

Some intelligence factors estimate that this title name refers to a senior official in Hezbollah, it is unclear whether the political or military arm. Other factors estimated that this may be a senior Lebanese government who has good relationships with Hezbollah.

Gabard herself denied that she had met her visit to Syria and Lebanon with someone from Hezbollah, as did people who took part in the same visit. She claimed that he did meet with officials in Lebanon, including some who had good relationships to Hezbollah, such as Lebanon’s intelligence head in those days.

Tomorrow, Gabard’s approval procedure is expected to start in Congress tomorrow. After a hearing in Congress has already passed, tomorrow a vote will be held on its appointment in the Senate Intelligence Committee, and if approved there – it will rise to the final and decisive vote in the Senate. At this point, too, there is still no certainty that her appointment will be approved.
