The new leader of Syria Ahmad al-Sharaa made the first appeal to the nation, in which he stated that he was temporarily appointed president.
In his speech, the actual leader of the country said that “Damascus is working on the restoration of the international and regional status of Syria.” It is expected that tomorrow he will meet with emir of Qatar Tamim Ibn Hamad Al Tanya, and next week he himself will visit Saudi Arabia.
Ahmad al-Sharaa promised that the armed formations would be dissolved, and the Syrian army will be formed again.
“We tore the shackles of the Assad regime, freed from the oppressors, shook off shame and humiliation from the shoulders of the sham (levant). The Syrian sun shone to the jubilation of the people again. It was a great victory,” the new leader said in his speech. He noted that the new authorities are ready with the same determination with which they fought against Assad, to rebuild the country again.
