Mr. Trump: ‘The aircraft collision should be stopped’

President Trump said the PSA Airlines aircraft colliding helicopters on the Potomac River is “a bad incident” and “should have been prevented in advance”.

“The helicopter flew towards passenger plane for a long time. Tonight it was clear, the aircraft lights were bright, why the helicopter did not change the height or redirect,” US President Donald Trump wrote online Truth Social society on January 29, mentioning the case of PSA Airlines aircraft colliding with the UH-60 helicopter of the US Army.

Mr. Trump asked why Ronald Reagan Washington national airport control radio did not require a helicopter to avoid, but only asked if they saw PSA Airlines aircraft or not. “This is a bad situation that should have been stopped before it happened. It was bad,” he wrote.
