Truce in Gaza: “delighted” Thailand of the release of its nationals

Eight of them were released this Thursday – three Israelis and five Thai – and three men will be on Saturday, according to the office of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benyamin Netanyahu, who said he had received the list of eight hostages from the Palestinian Islamist movement, All alive.

The three Israelis released this Thursday are two women, soldier Agam Berger, aged 20, and the civilian Arbel Yehud, 29, as well as a 80-year-old German-Israeli farmer, Gadi Moses. Five Thai people were also released.

The three hostages that must find freedom on Saturday are men.

The truce agreement entered into force on January 19 provides, during a first phase of six weeks, the release of 33 hostages in exchange for around 1900 Palestinians held by Israel.

Seven Israeli have already been released, against 290 Palestinians, but the Israeli authorities warned that the first group included eight dead hostages.

At the start of the week, Hamas officials accused Israel of delaying the entry of humanitarian aid into the Palestinian territory, warning that this could compromise hostage release. The Hebrew state denied.
