The Bundestag rejected the anti-illiberation bill proposed by the opposition

The lower house of the German parliament, the Bundestag, rejected the bill authored by the opposition Christian Democrats, which proposed to sharply limit the importance of immigration, as well as tightening the requirements of foreigners in the country.

The project was particularly proposed to eliminate foreigners who receive benefits from the state and reunification with families.

The authors of the document emphasized that “Germany has exhausted all the opportunities for foreigners to integrate into 1 million 800,000 Ukrainian refugees.”

In addition to the Christian Democrats, the bill expressed their support for the German party, as well as the Liberal “Free Democrats” and left-handed “Sarah Wagenknotkunecht”.
