For his part, the Ukrainian President, Volodimir Zelenski, highlighted the measure and has indicated that it is a “great day for all.” “We have achieved the return of 150 of our military, who were under Russian captivity. They are soldiers, sergeants, officers,” he said in a statement.

Zelenski, who has clarified that there are also police officers among them, he said that “all of them come from different areas of the war front, but remain united by the fight in favor of Ukraine.” “Some of these men have been in captivity for more than two years, and today they will finally see their families,” he said.
