A Turkish military dies in clashes with the PKK in northern Iraq

The Turkey authorities have announced on Wednesday that a military has died in the framework of the Claw-Lock operation, for which the Turkish army performs operations against members of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in northern Iraq.

The Ministry of Defense of Turkey has identified the military as Commander of Murat Infantry Kemal Yetisin, but has not given details about the location in which he has died on the occasion of the attacks. As the Anatolia news agency has learned, the funeral will be held this Thursday at the D Ekemer cemetery.

The Turkish army usually performs military operations against the PKK in Iraq-where the formation has numerous bases-since the high fire between the government and the armed group in July 2015 was broken.
