A plane disappears with ten people aboard in Alaska

The US authorities have reported Thursday that a plane with ten people on board has disappeared that made the route of Unalakleet to Nome, both locations in western Alaska, whose search is being difficult for bad weather in the area.

The State Police Agency received at 4:00 p.m. (local time) a notification on “a delayed aircraft.” “A Bering Air plane has disappeared while heading from Unalakleet to Nome with nine passengers and a pilot on board,” says a statement published on its website.

The Nome Volunteer Fire Department has indicated through its profile on the Facebook social network that “an active land search” is conducting. “Due to climate and visibility, we have a limited aerial search at this time,” he said, asking the population “not to form individual search groups.”
