Trump government announces weapons sale to Israel

The United States Department of the United States announced, on Friday (7), a weaponry for Israel in the amount of US $ 7 billion, the equivalent of about 40 billion reais, disagreeing with a review process done by Congress through the Foreign Affairs Committee.

The Committee present in both the House and Senate said by note that “Secretary of State Marco Rubio did not provide adequate justification or documentation to circumvent the review process.”

The value includes missiles and Hellfire pumps. The decision of the transfer to the Israeli government came after a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Israeli prime Minister Benjamim Netanyahu, last Tuesday (4), in the White House.

This is the first sale authorized by Donald Trump to Israel. But the country had already done other similar negotiations in the government of Joe Biden, including the sale of more than 50 fighters of the F-15 model.
