According to US officials, a group is leaving for Saudi Arabia, Russian-Ukrainian talks

US President Donald Trump sends a high-ranking team to Saudi Arabia to start talks with Russia and Ukraine, and American officials have transferred several media outlets.

According to these reports, Secretary of State Marco Rubions, Spitak House Adviser Mike Walts and Steve Whitkoff, who negotiates the Middle East, will take part in the talks.

US officials also told reporters that they did not plan to include representatives of other allies in the talks.

Meanwhile, Reuters, citing four European diplomats, said France intends to hold an informal summit of EU leaders on February 17 to discuss the situation in Ukraine. No other details are reported.

The presidents of the two countries had a telephone conversation on Wednesday. After the conversation, Donald Trump stated that they agreed to start negotiations with Vladimir Putin around the end of the war in Ukraine.

Addressing Western leaders in Munich, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky stressed that neither Trump and Putin nor him and Putin can make a separate decision on the Ukrainian conflict. He insisted that he should put pressure on Russia for peace.
