The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky will visit Saudi Arabia on February 19, according to France-Presse, citing Sergei Nikiforov, a press secretary of the Ukrainian president.
According to Nikiforov, Zelensky will visit Saudi Arabia with his wife in the framework of the “long -planned” official visit.
Earlier, Zelensky confirmed that he was planning a visit to Saudi Arabia, which will wear humanitarian goals. He also said that he does not plan to meet in the kingdom with representatives of the Russian Federation or the USA.
Today, February 17, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived in Saudi Arabia. He will take part in negotiations in Ukraine between delegations of the United States and Russia. Negotiations will be held on February 18 in Riyadh. The Russian Federation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, will represent the Russian Federation. From the American side at the meeting will be attended by Secretary of State Mark Rubio, adviser to the US President in National Security Mike Walz and the Presidential Special Supervisor of the Middle East Steve Vitkoff.
On February 14, US President Donald Trump said that negotiations in Ukraine will take place in Saudi Arabia, and they will take part in “high -ranking officials” from the Russian and American sides, as well as representatives of Ukraine.
