The Israeli Defense Minister announced on Monday the creation of a special agency for the “voluntary departure” of the inhabitants of Gaza, after the commitment made by the Prime Minister to respect the plan of the American president, Donald Trump, for Gaza after War.

“The Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, held a meeting today (Monday) on the voluntary departure of the inhabitants of Gaza, at the end of which he was decided to create a special agency for the voluntary departure of the inhabitants of Gaza within the Ministry of Defense, ”said a statement from the ministry.

“Côte d’Azur du Middle East”

Earlier in the day, Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu said that he had to “respect” the post-war plan in Gaza of the American president, Donald Trump. And he added that he “hired to the day after the war in Gaza there was no more Hamas or Palestinian authority”.

In early February, Donald Trump launched the idea of taking control of the Gaza Strip by the United States to rebuild it and make it “Côte d’Azur du Middle East”. He repeated that its inhabitants could be moved to Egypt and Jordan, two countries that have rejected this option. His plan was rejected by the Arab world and many Western leaders.

Rather this month, Israel Katz told him that he ordered the army to prepare a plan to allow the Palestinians to leave Gaza, adding that he greeted “the daring plan of Mr. Trump, who could allow a large part of the population of Gaza to reinstall itself in various places of the world ”.

The war in Gaza was launched on October 7, 2023 by the unprecedented attack in Hamas in Israel that day. After more than 15 months of war, the Palestinian territory was largely transformed into a field of ruins. A ceasefire has been in effect since January 19.
