Sohr: near the Russian base “Khmeimim” there was a shootout with the remnants of Assad, there was no UAV attack

The Syrian Observator for Human Rights (SOHR) monitoring group proposed its version in connection with the reports of the Night BPLA attack on the Russian Basim air base, in the Latakia province, in the west of Syria.

According to SOHR, “armed people from the remnants of the forces of the former regime (Assad) fired from RPGs and machine guns of the internal security forces near the Russian base of Khmeimim in the city of Jabla.” There was no information about the dead or wounded.

SOHR reports that the “loud explosions” in the Khmeimim area were actually sounding of large -caliber machine guns. The Russian military opened fire, the message is noted.

Judging by the SOHR message, there was no UAV attack.

It is noted that the attack was committed about two days after the Khmeimim air base was visited by the new President of Syria Ahmad Hussein Ashharaa (Abu Muhammad al-Julani).

At night, the Sabren News agency, associated with the Right forces in Iraq, reported that unidentified drones allegedly attacked the Khmeimim air base in Syria, where the Russian military were located. It was reported that the work of the air defense forces was recorded. This information was not commented on by official sources. Some Z-Venkors accused of attack the new authorities of the country of Syria-the Sunni group “Haiyat Tahrir al-Sham”.
