Two knives and brochures of IG: a 14-year-old terrorist was arrested in Austria

Austria’s police arrested a 14-year-old teenager on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack at Westbanhof station in Vienna, APA reports.

During the search, the suspect found two knives and brochures of the Islamic State terrorist organization, Theelocal.at writes.

Judging by the data of the Austria Ministry of Internal Affairs, the young terrorist was detained on February 10 by employees of the State Security and Combat Terrorism (LSE) department and the Wega operational group.

The name and additional information of the detainee is not published.

Recall that on February 15, in the Austrian city of Fillah, a 23-year-old native of Syria, a political asylum applicant in Austria, armed with a knife, killed a 14-year-old teenager and wounded five people. He was also a supporter of IG.
