Trump and Rumble company process Moraes in the USA

Supreme Court Minister Alexandre de Moraes has become the target of a lawsuit of the United States, filed by Trump Media and Tecnhnhogy Group Corp, linked to the president, and by the Rumble video platform. The information, first released by the newspaper Folha de São Paulothis Wednesday (19), was confirmed by the Gazeta do Povo.

The case is in a Federal Court in Florida – where Rumble is based – and investigates whether the Brazilian minister has violated American sovereignty by ordering the exclusion of accounts of a “political dissident A” (which by process information can be identified as the Brazilian right -wing Brazilian journalist and influencer) of social networks, as well as determining the supply of their user data.

Santos is investigated by the Supreme Court for “propagation of misinformation”. Still, there is a warrant of pre -trial detention against the influencer and an order of extradition of the United States, where he resides.

However, this request was denied by the government of Joe Biden in April last year, which justified the decision arguing that the acts for which Allan dos Santos is accused are not considered crimes in the United States, as they are protected by the right to freedom of freedom of expression.

Minister Moraes’s orders were issued confidentially and banned the Rumble from publicizing their content, with the risk of the company to have their services interrupted in Brazil.

Moraes’s latest decision against the journalist even required the video platform to permanently end his online network account and prevent the creation of new profiles anywhere in the world.

In an X post on Wednesday morning, Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski mentioned Moraes’s account on the platform, saying “Rumble will not comply with your illegal orders. Instead, we’ll see you in court.”

To Folha, Pavlovski had said that “Moraes is now trying to completely circumvent the American legal system, using confidential orders of censorship to press US social networks to ban the political dissident (Allan dos Santos) at the global level ”.

In 2023, Rumble no longer operated in Brazil after accusing Brazilian justice, especially Moraes, of applying “unfair orders of censorship”. Two days before the announcement, the platform partially took the Tuesday free channel, maintained by Allan dos Santos, from the air in compliance with an order from Moraes.

In the lawsuit, Trump’s company argues that any Rumble restrictions would directly affect Trump Media and Technology Group Corp, which receives cloud data from Truth Social, a US President -owned network.

In March last year, the American court denied a request from Brazil for the extradition of Santos.
