The United States claim to have killed a jihadist manager in Syria in a strike

The United States has killed an official of the Al-Qaeda Syrian branch, Hurras Al-Din, who recently announced its dissolution, the US military announced on Sunday. The Centcom, the American military command for the Middle East, said on the social network X having “targeted and killed” on Saturday, in the northwest of Syria, “a senior manager in charge of finances and logistics of The terrorist organization Hurras al-Din, a subsidiary of Al-Qaeda ”.

The identity of this jihadist official has not been specified. The United States, of which soldiers are deployed in Syria as part of an international coalition created in 2014 to fight the jihadists of the Islamic State group, regularly lead strikes in this country, just like France.

A rebellious coalition led by the radical Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Cham (HTC), took power in Damascus after overthrowing Bashar al-Assad on December 8. The new Syrian authorities have announced their desire to see all the armed formations dissolve.
