Vietnam prioritizes developing relations with Cambodia

The high -level meeting between the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Standing Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) today took place in Ho Chi Minh City, led by General Secretary To Lam and Chairman of CPP, President of Cambodian Senate Hun Sen co -chair, according to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam always attaches special importance to and giving priority to the consolidation and development of good neighbors, traditional friendships, comprehensive and long -term sustainable cooperation with Cambodia.

Mr. Hun Sen appreciated the fact that the Communist Party of Vietnam has drastically implemented the streamlined work of the apparatus at all levels, considering this as a good lesson for Cambodia to study.

CPP President highly appreciated the good development of bilateral relations, emphasizing the need to propagate to the younger generation about the historical value of the two countries’ relations, the friendly solidarity of friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia .

General Secretary To Lam and CPP President Hun Sen emphasized the solidarity and mutual assistance between the two parties and the two countries that are indispensable objective and historical rules.

The two leaders agreed to continue strengthening political relations, effectively implementing high -level agreements, strengthening cooperation in the field of defense and security, promoting economic and trade cooperation, culture, culture, Education and Tourism.

At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet agreed with the evaluation and great orientation of General Secretary To Lam and President of CPP Hun Sen about bilateral relations.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Prime Minister Hun Manet also pointed out the limitations that need to overcome and unify some of the key contents to be implemented soon in the near future, especially the initiatives on connecting the two economies.
