Trump said that “Zelensky did not need to take part in negotiations in Riyadh”

US President Donald Trump said that the Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky did not need to take part in negotiations on the termination of the conflict with Russia, continuing his attacks on the Ukrainian leader, writes the Air Force with reference to Bloomberg.

According to Trump, “Zelensky participated in meetings for three years from the moment of the Russian invasion in February 2022 and still could not put an end to the conflict.”

“I don’t think that his presence at the meetings is very important, to be honest,” Trump said. “When Zelensky said that he was not invited to a meeting,“ this was not a priority, because he still did not negotiate well. ”

Trump’s comment, according to Bloomberg, means that the US president will continue to adhere to his approach to direct negotiations with Russia. Last week, he spoke with Vladimir Putin on the phone, and senior American officials met with Russian colleagues in Saudi Arabia on Monday. There were no Ukrainians in Riyadh.
