Adviser to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Haji is on a working visit to Ankara.
According to the Azerbaijani media, he discussed with the Chief Advisor of the President of Turkey Akif Kilich discussed the strategic ally of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Haji also met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
No details are reported from this meeting.
The adviser to the President of Azerbaijan also met with Fahretin Altun, the director of the Turkish President’s Office in Ankara. The meeting was emphasized on the determination of Turkey and Azerbaijan to strengthen cooperation.
Haji was also in Ankara, 2024, and he discussed the situation with Kilich and Altun in the Middle East and the South Caucasus.
Azerbaijan and Turkey have repeatedly stated that their cooperation is strategic.
In June 2021, Azerbaijan and Turkey signed a document in Shushi. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that it is the highest level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey. The Declaration implies mutual military assistance and close cooperation in the military industry.
