In Moscow, film critic Ekaterina Barabash was sent under house arrest

On Wednesday, February 26, the Dorogomilovsky Court of Moscow, at the request of the investigation, sent CSHCRICT Ekaterina Barabash, accused of spreading “fakes about the Russian army,” by the request of the investigation.

It is accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public dissemination of obviously false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). Ekaterina Barabash is a journalist and film critic. She worked in such publications as Interfax (from where she was dismissed for disagreement with the policy of the Russian authorities in 2016), Forbes, “Independent Gazeta”, “General Newspaper”, “Such Affairs”, the newspaper “Day”, at the Radio Svoboda radio station.
