Asryan discussed cooperation in the field of defense in Greece

The delegation led by the Chief of Defense of Armenia, head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Edward Asryan is on an official visit to Greece, according to the Ministry of Defense.

He met with the Minister of National Defense Minister Nicolaos Dendia, as well as with the Chief of the General Staff Dimitri Zhu.

During both meetings, issues related to Armenia-Greece cooperation and regional security were discussed in the field of defense. The Greek Minister of National Defense has once again expressed its readiness to support the implementation of the reforms of the RA Armed Forces.

Highly appreciating the course of cooperation, Edward Asryan and Dimitri Chance touched upon the work done, outline the upcoming activities.

It is noted that the Armenia-Greece-Cyprus trilateral cooperation and regional security issues were also discussed in the field of defense.

The Armenian-Greece bilateral and Armenia-Greecast trilateral defense consultations were held in Athens last December. 2025 Programs of Defense Cooperation were signed.

In December 2023, Armenia and Greece signed a military-technical cooperation agreement, agreeing to develop cooperation with new impetus, including military-technical, experience, tactical training and other directions.
