After the spicy confrontation in front of the cameras: Ukrainian President Zlansky tried to calm the tension with US President Donald Trump and present a stiff but pragmatic line in an interview he gave today (Friday to Shabbat) to Fox News, just hours after the acute confrontation between the leaders who ended an American teaching in the Ukrainian delegation to leave the White House. The positive spirit, Zalansky admitted that the event “was not good for any of the parties.”The White House senior claimed in Reuters reported that the Ukrainian delegation “begged” to sign the mineral deal immediately after being told to leave, but Trump “does not want to re -examine or revive the transaction at this time.” In addition, in Washington, a post was reported that following the photographed confrontation, the US government was considering immediately stop existing weapons shipments to Ukraine. Salansky on his part, in an interview with the question of whether he had to apologize to Trump and said: “I don’t think I must have an apology, I didn’t do anything wrong. In retrospect, I wouldn’t come to the White House.”

The Ukrainian President emphasized the importance of American support for his country’s war effort, saying that “it will be difficult for Ukraine to hold on to Russia without American support. Ukraine has not enough weapons to push Russia.” Zlansky expressed hope that Trump would be “more on our side” and emphasized: “I don’t want to lose our wonderful partners in the United States.”

 

Despite the tensions, Zelansky tried to convey a positive message about the future of the states and insisted on it despite Trump’s claim that Ukraine did not sign an agreement with Putin, his country “ready for peace, but must be in a stronger position.” He added that US support constitutes “the first step to security guarantees” for Ukraine, in what appears to be an attempt to emphasize the importance of continuing cooperation between the countries despite the current crisis.
