Guinness World Records confirms: This is the smallest park in the world

The Japanese city of Nagaizumi has a special draw. Guinness World Records has confirmed that the smallest park in the world is there.

Taking a walk will not work, but it is possible for a breath in this special park in the Japanese city of Nagaizumi. The park is only 0.24 square meters in size and therefore received the title of ‘Smallest Park in the world from Guinness World Records.’

A casual passer -by can just pass by, because the park only includes a chair made from a block of wood with a bush around it.

Until recently, the title of smallest park in the world was before the Mill Ends Park in Portland in the US state of Oregon. But when a local resident of Nagaizumi was on vacation, he was inspired to bring the title to Japan. The park in Nagaizumi has actually been there since 1988 and has been called the ‘smallest park’ by the local residents. But an official recognition never came.

Until now. The local authorities wrote Guinness World Records and had a certified up meter come by. He found that the title did belong to Nagaizumi. “We want to continue to maintain the park with the community and create a landscape that is a little more focused on social media, so that more people will discover the attractions of our city,” said Shuji Koyama, head of the city building department.
