Road accident in Kenya, two Italian tourists die

Two Italian citizens died in a road accident in Kenya. According to Farnesina sources, the accident occurred near the locality of Diani: a small bus on which six Italians were traveling was involved in the accident of which local authorities are ascertaining the dynamics. A man died instantly, while a woman, who was seriously injured, died after hospitalization. The two originated from Milan and Albiano (Trento). The Italians were on a tour organized by an Italian operator who commissioned his representatives in Kenya to assist the 4 wounded hospitalized in two different hospitals. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with the Embassy of Italy in Nairobi and the Honorary Consulate in Mombasa, is following the case: the console in Mombasa, the consular agent in Diani and the staff of the embassy in Nairobi have already arrived or are arriving at the accident site and in the hospitals where the wounded are hospitalized. The Embassy of Italy also activated with the local authorities to clarify the dynamics of the accident.
