The US opposes the Arab proposal to restore the Gaza Strip

The White House announced tonight (between Tuesday and Wednesday) his opposition to the Arab Strip program for the Gaza Strip. The Hamas terrorist organization welcomed the Arab League’s plan to rehabilitate the Gaza Strip. In a statement published by the organization, it was said: “️ ️ We welcome the Gaza rehabilitation program adopted at the Summit of the Arab League and calls to provide all the components for its success.” On the other hand, the Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed opposition to the program, claiming that it “fails to refer to the reality of October 7 and remains determined by old -fashioned perceptions.”

In Hamas’ announcement, it was alleged that they had already approved their support for “what serves the interests of the Palestinian people.” Hamas made it clear that “calling the summit to apply the ceasefire agreement in Gaza as signed, represents political support for the Palestinian people and pressure Israel to prevent it from changing or thwarting the agreement.” The terrorist organization emphasized that “the effects of aggression and an extermination war should be removed to our people and our country, and we have declared our support for the decision to establish the community support committee.”

 

 

 

According to the plan presented at the Arab League conference, the Gaza Strip will be restored at an estimated cost of about $ 53 billion and a temporary committee is set up to manage the Gaza Strip for a period of six months, for the return of the Palestinian Authority. In addition, the UN Security Council can consider a layout of international forces in the Gaza Strip.

According to a report on the Saudi al-Arabia channel, the first step in rehabilitation of the Gaza Strip is expected to take two years, at a cost of about $ 20 billion. The second phase will last two and a half years at $ 30 billion. Most of the money is required to restore residents’ houses. The temporary committee will work to raise support and money required to restore and will be established by an international monitoring fund to which the funds will be transferred.

It was also reported that the Palestinian Strip Management Committee would not be members of the Palestinian terrorist organizations. Egypt and Jordan will transfer training to the Palestinian police for its deployment in the Gaza Strip. It was also noted that the armed factors in the Gaza Strip could be addressed through a political process.

 

 

 

The program also includes a temporary ceasefire, during which “trust measures” will be determined. During the temporary ceasefire, direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians will begin. The program refers to the two -state solution and indicates that Palestinians have a right to an independent state to be held alongside the State of Israel. “The two -state solution will open a door for relations between the countries of the area and Israel,” it said.

In contrast to Trump’s program, the Egyptian plan states that there is no justification for displacing the residents of the Gaza Strip. It was noted that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the Palestinian territories and there is no differentiation between it and the West Bank. The draft states that the program includes “condemnation of killing and injury to civilians, on both sides, and of the unprecedented level of violence in Gaza.”
