A survey in Europe on Trump: He is a threat to security

Not as much as Vladimir Putin, but for the majority of citizens of the four largest European countries Donald Trump is a threat to peace and security in Europe. This was revealed by a Youv survey on the opinions of Italians, British, French, Spanish and Germans regarding the latest events related to Ukraine. If the most worried about the line adopted by the US President are the British citizens, the Italians are less negative, even on the Russian president, while on the contrary they do not seem big fans of the Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to the survey, Trump represents a very or quite serious threat to 58% of Italians, 69% of the French, 74% of the French and Germans, 75% of the Spaniards, 78% British. Putin is instead considered a very or quite serious threat from 74% of Italians, 79% of the Spaniards and Germans, 87% of the Spaniards and 89% of the British.

As for the popularity, tested by Youv in only four countries and not in Germany, the American president is well seen above all in Italy: 27% likes Italians against a 63% who does not see him well. Instead, it only likes 19% of the Spaniards and the French, and 15 percent of the British. On the contrary, 72% of the French do not appreciate it, 75% of the Spaniards and 80 percent of the British.

In Italy Putin is appreciated only by 14% of the interviewees against 77% who, on the other hand, does not have a positive judgment, however less than in the rest of the countries where the survey was made. In Spain it is 89% percent to have a negative opinion against 6%, in France the percentages are 82% of disapproval and 9% appreciation and in Great Britain 89% disapproval and 4% appreciation.

But above all, the poor sympathy that collects Zelensky in Italy compared to other countries is striking. Only 34% have a positive opinion of the Ukrainian president, against 49% who do not appreciate it. The percentages elsewhere elsewhere: in Spain 48% of approval and 31% of disapproval, in France 49% approval and 32% disapproval and in Great Britain even 71% of approval and 14% of disapproval.

And this is also reflected on the attitude that should be kept against a peace agreement that leaves Russia the control of the conquered territories. For 30 percent of Italians, Ukraine should accept it anyway, under penalty of retreating military support, while only 20 percent of the French think, 16 percent of the Spaniards and 10 percent of the British.
