Iran summons the British ambassador to protest against “unfounded” accusations of interference

The Iranian government has announced that it has summoned the United Kingdom ambassador to the country to protest after London accused the dome of the Islamic Republic to orchestrate acts of interference against journalists, dissidents and British-Israeli citizens.

The Secretary of State for Security of the United Kingdom, Dan Jarvis, said that “the direct attacks of Iran” against these objectives have multiplied in recent years and confirmed that London has put the entire dome of the Iranian state, including his revolutionary guard, at the highest level of alert in his list of foreign organizations dedicated to the interference in the affair in the affairs of the country.

In response, Iran has summoned the British ambassador to denounce that the United Kingdom is doing exactly the same in the Islamic Republic.

“In response to the repetition of infused statements by senior British officials against Iran and the accusation that Tehran tries to interfere with the internal affairs of the United Kingdom, the British ambassador has been convened to the Foreign Ministry,” the Ministry said in a brief statement collected by the official Iranian news agency, Irna.
