Putin and Lukashenko will meet this Thursday in Russia

The presidents of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, respectively, will meet this Thursday in Russian territory, in which the first official trip of the Belarusian president abroad is involved since he took the re -election in the elections last January, which according to the opposition developed in a fraudulent environment and repression.

The Presidency of Belarus has confirmed his visit in a statement and has clarified that both leaders plan to address issues related to bilateral cooperation and “areas of mutual interest and interaction” between the two countries.

In addition, Putin and Lukashenko will hold conversations about the geopolitical situation internationally and sign a series of joint documents and statements, as indicated by the statement.

The Kremlin, on the other hand, has highlighted the importance of the “strategic association” between the parties and has indicated that both have expectations in relation to the dialogue to address “current issues of the international agenda” and issues aimed at “integration” within the framework of the State of the Union.
