Snowboarder falls into the gorge in Mont Blanc massif and dies

The Snowboarder, a foreign tourist, was on Monday with four others on the Vallée Blanche, a popular off-piste route that can be reached by cable car on the Aiguille du Midi peak, according to the Gendarmerie of Chamonix. The accident happened on Monday afternoon.

“The person fell about 30 meters to the bottom of a gap and died of his injuries,” said the emergency services, who were quickly on the spot.
