Mutual respect, mutual benefit, win-win, openness and inclusion are the quintessence of Latin America-Latin America

Selfishness or mutual respect?, Its own supremacy or common benefit?, Isolation or openness with an inclusive spirit?, Are some of the dilemma of the historical crossroads that humanity arises today.

Precisely, in this context it is necessary to highlight the great development that relations between China and Latin America have achieved in recent years, giving clear answers and showing the world as a true example of success.

As true friends who respect each other, China and Latin America are members of the Global South and defend sovereignty, independence, solidarity, cooperation and development.

President Xi Jinping visited Latin America six times, received dozens of heads of state and Latin American governments in his visits to China, held deep exchanges of cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual respect, and filed friendship conversations with all social sectors and the general public.

Its objective was always to promote relations between both regions towards a new era of equality, mutual benefit, innovation, openness and universal benefit, pointing out the way to follow for the construction of a community of destination between China and Latin America.

China always supported the countries of the region in the safeguarding of their sovereignty and territorial integrity, in addition to supporting peoples in the independent choice of the development path that adapts to their national conditions.

He never intimidated the little ones or the weak using the fortress; He was never condescending to others and never stubbornly stubbornly or in his own geopolitical interests. This respectful position served as an example to maintain and deepen the relations between countries that are in different stages of development, which have different territorial dimensions and national conditions, providing a paradigm for the promotion of an equal and orderly multipolar world.

China and Latin America are good mutual benefit partners and shared gain. This mutual cooperation is well received because it respects the will of Latin American peoples, satisfies their needs and offers reliable options and broad perspectives for the revitalization of the region.

In this context, China took the high quality construction of the strip and the route as a true practical platform. Faithful to the principle of “deliberation in common, joint construction and codisfrute”, invested more than 600 billion dollars in Latin America, executed more than 200 infrastructure projects, built thousands of kilometers of highways, ordinary and light railways, hundreds of schools, hospitals and stadiums, almost 100 bridges and tunnels, and tens of airports and ports Jobs to millions of people from different Latin American countries.

China and Latin America are travel companions in pursuit of opening and inclusion. Faced with the rise of unilateralism and protectionism, decoupling countences and the spread of “high walls in small courtyards,” China and Latin America took measures in recent years to promote economic globalization that is beneficial for all.

China and Latin America take full advantage of the advantages of economic complementarity, so the volume of trade has already exceeded 500 billion dollars, confirming China as the second commercial partner of Latin America.

Argentine red wine and Chilean cherries became the most wanted products on China’s electronic commerce platform, providing real benefits to Latin American companies and peoples.

It should also be noted that the new round of the scientific and technological revolution, added to industrial transformation, made cooperation between China and Latin America continue to improve and update.

The distant space station of Neuquén, jointly built by China and Argentina, today plays an important role in the exploration of the Moon and Mars; The land resources satellite, developed together with Brazil, is a fundamental tool in the care of the ecological environment of the Amazon jungle; The Sierra Punta Elicos Park, built in Chile, guaranteed the green energy supply to 130 thousand residents; And the project of photovoltaic energy generation of 300 megawatts in Argentina, built by a Chinese company, was key to boosting the development of the northern part of the country.

This year the 10th anniversary of the official operation of the Chinese-Celac (FCC) is celebrated, and during the first Chinese semester it will host the fourth ministerial meeting of said agency.

In the last 10 years, the FCC became a key platform to advance global cooperation between China and Latin America, strengthen the coupling of development strategies and build the shared future community between both regions. As our Argentine friends usually say, “union is strength.”

Looking ahead, China is willing to work with Latin American friends, including Argentina of course, to overcome mountains and seas, find ourselves in the middle of the road and accelerate the rhythm of the respective modernization and development. The ship of the destination community of China and Latin America must navigate with greater firmness to get as far as countries are proposed.
