The US has declared that many of Houthi’s key commanders have been eliminated

US National Security Adviser Mike Waltz said that the air strikes aimed at Yemen last week down a series of Houthi’s key commanders, including the leading rocket expert of the armed group. He did not identify the targets that were killed.

“We have hit bases, contacts, weapons and even their drones factories (UAV),” he added.

Houthi, the armed group is controlling many territories in Yemen, has not commented on information.

Houthi targeted the cargo ships in the Red Sea after war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza broke out on October 7, 2023 and until the ceasefire order in January, to show solidarity with the Palestinians. Hamas is the ally of Houthi in the “resistance axis” backed by Iran in the Middle East.

Last week, Houthi announced that he continued to attack the commercial ship related to Israel because Tel Aviv blocked aid in the Gaza Strip.

The US military on March 15 launched a large -scale air campaign aimed at Houthi’s positions in Yemen, marking the first time this activity during President Trump’s second term. The air strike killed at least 53 people and 98 injured.

Houthi then repeatedly launched missiles and UAVs against the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier group on the Red Sea to respond.

Houthi’s raids at the US target did not cause damage, but Western military experts pointed out that Houthi’s destroyer warehouse was still a major threat to the US aircraft carrier warfare group, making them not allowed to neglect when duty in the Red Sea and the surrounding area.
