The Spaniard tried to carry liquid cocaine in Italy in the form of shampoo, shaving and juice creams

Employees of customs control of the Florence Airport reported that a Spanish citizen tried to deliver cocaine in liquid form to the country. The cost of a batch of drugs was estimated at € 700 thousand.

The Ministry of Economics and Finance reports that the passenger flying from Lisbon had several bottles of shampoo and shaving creams, as well as packaging with fruit juices and fruits in syrup, which he claimed, for friends, had several bottles. However, a large number of packages and the excited state of the man aroused suspicions of the inspectors who decided to conduct a more thorough check. Checking the contents of the bottles confirmed the suspicion: they turned out to be a liquid cocaine with a total mass of more than 10 kg.

The seized material was sent for analysis to determine the active substance, its quantity and possible dosage. The results showed that a Spanish citizen tried to carry about 9 kg of cocaine, from which more than 58 thousand doses could be made. If drugs got to the market, their cost would be about 700 thousand euros.

The passenger was detained, transferred to the prosecutor’s office of Florence and then sent to the Dogai prison in Prato.
