Thaksin returned home in 2023, after 15 years of living in exile, and was sentenced to 8 years in prison for corruption and abuse of power during his power. He was later reduced by the king to a year, then temporarily forgiven his home because of his age and poor health.

In August24, the King of Thailand was great for thousands of prisoners, including Thaksin, the day after his daughter was elected the Prime Minister.

The vote of no confidence took place after a two -day critic debate in the National Assembly, in which the opposition criticized Ms. Paetongtarn’s experience and operating the country was not good. The opposition also accused her of being “controlled” by Mr. Thaksin.

During the debate, Senator Rangsiman Rome of the opposition opposition party, accused Ms. Paetongtarn to help her father be favored when in prison. “She made an agreement to ‘go to the night’ so that her father could enjoy better conditions than other prisoners,” he said.

Mrs. Paetongtarn rejected these allegations.
