Emile Soleil, revoked pre -trial detention grandparents: what happens

The precautionary custody in prison of Emile Soleil’s grandparents has been revoked. Their lawyers made it known. Philippe Vedovini was arrested together with his wife Anne Tuesday, in relation to the death of their two-year-old grandson, who disappeared from their home in a remote area of France between Aix-en-Provence and Aubagne in July 2023. No trace of Emile Soleil was found until the end of March last year, when a hiker in the mountainous area found the skull and the teeth of a child not far from his home.

“After 17 hours of interrogation, the precautionary custody is revoked,” said Isabelle Colombani, a lawyer by Philippe Vedovini, while leaving the Marseille police station shortly before 5 in the morning. “Investigators did their job. We were able to see that a huge job was done,” he said, adding that his client “answered all” questions.
