The Turkish authorities deported the BBC correspondent covering the protests against the detention of the former mayor of Istanbul, the media reported.

Mark Lowen was in Turkey for several days to cover the protests, yesterday, the police were detained and arrested for 17 hours. This morning, a journalist received a notice that was deported due to a threat to public order.
