The process of unblocking of communication in the South Caucasus has stopped due to the destructive influence of the West, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman said, adding to Armenia’s position often.
“We see the destructive influence of Western countries, and the position of the Armenian authorities, which is sometimes and not uncommon, raises questions for us. Due to these two factors, cooperation in the group of Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia has stopped, “Maria Zakharova said.
According to Moscow, “the resumption of trilateral cooperation is not only possible to restore the transport and logistics system of the South Caucasus, but also ensure the further development of Armenia.”
The Russian side in that group, President Alexei Overchuk insisted that Armenia cannot “sit on two seats. Yerevan must make a choice between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAAU) and the European Union (EU). ”
Earlier, the deputies of the Armenian parliament adopted the bill on the launch of the EU membership process in the second and final reading.
